Earlier I wrote about how Joe Flacco was a legitimate NFL starter. I'd like to sing Matt Ryan's praises as well. This kid can ball. If you watch him play he just hangs in the pocket, looks downfield, steps up and delivers the ball with speed and accuracy, right on his man.Ryan doesn't get rattled. He keeps his eyes downfield all game long, but he does a great job reading the pass rush with his peripheral vision. The Denver Broncos aren't exactly top-tier defensive talent this season, but Ryan has shown excellent poise and skill all season long.
NFC rookie of the year? Absolutely Matt Ryan.
AFC? Joe Flacco.
