In a move that has been a long time coming, Stephon Marbury and the New York Knicks have met to discuss a contract buyout. Marbury is a very talented but very selfish player, which does not mesh well with new coach Mike D'Antoni's coaching or personality styles. Marbury and D'Antoni have been butting heads since the beginning.Stephon claims he wants "every penny" of is $21.9 million contract.
Once the buyout is complete Marbury would be allowed to sign with another team. Some teams reportedly in the mix include Boston, San Antonio, Miami, and the LA Clippers.
Good riddance. New York will be better off without him.
