Denver Re-Signs RB Bell

Denver has suffered a streak of incredible bad luck recently, losing four running backs to season ending injuries. Four of them!

In a moment of desperation they called upon a familiar face, Tatum Bell. Bell is a former Broncos starter, who cracked the 1,000 yard mark in '06 and ran for eight scores in '05. Bell's stats are respectable, but he's most notorious for stealing Rudi Johnson's luggage after the Detroit Lions cut Bell to make room for the ex-Bengals running back earlier this year.

Bell has been out of football since being cut by the Lions and apparently working in a cell phone store. Ultimately, Bell had his most successful seasons in Denver and has a chance to resurrect his career, if he's lucky. The Broncos' run game used to be the focus of their offense, but it has been superseded this season by their strong air attack.

Bell's not likely to put up outstanding numbers, but the Broncos are desperate and hoping he can do just enough to help them keep ahead in the AFC West.
